Sofia was born in San Jose, Costa Rica on October 7th, 1996. In 2012 she gets admitted in the Intensive Piano Program in the Superior Institute of Arts under the direction of  Dr. Alexandr Skioutovski. She studied with Dra. Tamara Sklioutovskia, Dr. Alexandr Skioutovski, Dr. Gerardo Meza and M.M. Luis Monge and Dr. Jose Pablo Quesada.

She has won prizes in international competitions as well as having preformed in several stages in Costa Rica and internationally.
